This is the Cookie Statement of Pathé Cinemas (hereinafter Pathé). Herein we explain how cookies and similar techniques are used via the website pathé.nl (hereinafter the ‘Website’) and the Pathé App mobile application (hereinafter the ‘App’).

We want pathe.nl to suit all film fans. We therefore place cookies to personalise, improve and inform the site and expressions about films that suit you. By accepting these, you consent to this and indicate that you are 16 years of age or older. We may then use your account and web behaviour within and outside the site to personalise and make ads (by Pathé and Partners) and emails more relevant. Our Cookie Statement

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer, smartphone or other device when you visit our Website or App. Cookies help us to function, analyse and personalise the website. Cookies remember data from your previous visit to the Website or App so that the site works better and displays more relevant information for you.

We use so-called first-party cookies (Pathé's own cookies) and third-party cookies.

Pathé also uses techniques similar to cookies, such as web beacons and link tracking. Web beacons check if you have seen a particular web page or email. Link-tracking involves adding certain elements to a URL so that we can recognise you when you click through to the Website from our newsletter.

Cookies do not give us access to your computer, smartphone or other device, nor do they give us access to any information other than what you consent to. We give you the choice to accept or reject cookies (with the exception of functional cookies and cookies with minor privacy implications). In addition, you can also adjust your web browser settings to refuse cookies. This may prevent our website from fully functioning.

Pathé uses the following types of cookies (and similar techniques):

- Functional cookies. These are cookies that are necessary to provide the services you have requested, for example to ensure that you do not have to log in every time.

- Analytical cookies (first- and third-party). These are, for example, cookies (from third parties) that analyse and map the use of the Website and App, so that the quality and/or effectiveness of the Website and App can be improved, and affiliate cookies that keep track of which advertisement leads to the purchase of a certain product, so that the person who has shown this advertisement (the affiliate) can receive a reward from the advertiser. The statistics and other reports cannot be traced back to individual persons.

We currently measure statistics using tools from the following parties:
- Google Analytics

- Tracking cookies (first- and third-party). These are cookies that are used to record your browsing behaviour so that we (or third parties) can make you targeted offers and show you content that is relevant to you. We do this not only through the Website, but also through advertisements that are displayed. If tracking cookies are not used, this does not mean that you will no longer see advertisements. In that case, the ads are just no longer tailored to your personal preferences and interests.

- Social media plugins. The content you view on our website can be shared via social media using buttons. Cookies from the social media parties are used for this, so that they recognise you when you want to share something.

3. Consent
When you visit our Website or install our App, we ask your permission for the use of cookies by showing you a clear message.

4. Withdrawing consent / deleting cookies
You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting all cookies in your browser, by selecting the option ‘No, I now only want minimum cookies’ on this page and/or by configuring your browser so that it does not accept cookies. Blocking or deleting cookies may result in certain parts of the Website and/or App not working (optimally).
