Audiovisual support
Pathé wants to offer all its visitors a great film experience. To improve the film experience for auditory and visually impaired visitors, Pathé offers various systems. All cinemas support the Subcatch and Earcatch apps, some cinemas also use a hearing loop system.
A loop system and Earcatch provide auditory support. Subcatch provides visual support in the form of subtitles.
Hearing Loop
A loop system allows people with a hearing aid to listen to the sound of the film without disturbing ambient noise. The hearing loop system is available at Pathé Helmond.
Subcatch (Only available in Dutch)
With Subcatch you can read the subtitles of a (Dutch spoken) film on your smartphone. How does it work?
Install the app on your smartphone or tablet. Select the film you are going to watch and download the corresponding subtitles before your visit. Select 'play' as soon as the film starts. Subcatch ensures that the subtitles run at the same time as what is shown on the screen. Check the Subcatch website to see which films are supported.
Earcatch (Only available in Dutch)
With Earcatch you can hear the audio description of a film via your smartphone. How does it work? Install the app on your smartphone or tablet. Select the film you are going to watch and download the corresponding audio description before your visit. Put on your headphones and select 'play' as soon as the film starts. Earcatch ensures that the audio description plays at the same time as what is shown on the screen. Check the Earcatch website to see which films are supported.
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower
Visitors with a hidden disability may wear a Sunflower Keycord via the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower. Our employees can recognize these visitors and take into account that they may need extra help or attention.
Assistance dog
Assistance dogs are allowed in all Pathé cinemas, other (domestic) animals are not allowed inside. It is not necessary to report your assistance dog before your visit. For more information about which types of assistance dogs are allowed, please visit the Rijksoverheid website.
Wheelchair accessibility
All cinemas have wheelchair-accessible auditoriums. There is no chair where the wheelchair icon is located on the seating plan. Wheelchair spaces can be booked via the Pathé website.

Mobility scooter
All cinemas are wheelchair accessible and most cinemas also have wheelchair facilities in the cinema. The wheelchair spaces are made for (manual) wheelchairs, which means there is often no room for a larger electric wheelchair or mobility scooter.
