What is a Pathé Thuis Gift Card?
Pathé Thuis Gift Card (Digital)
With Pathé Thuis Gift Card you can watch the latest rental films at home. The digital card does not represent credit, but a 'credit'. So you can immediately watch 1, 2 or, for example, 4 rental films with it, for a maximum of €5.99 per film. This means that after watching cheaper films, the remaining value expires. The card states how many films you can watch and in what quality (SD or HD). The card is not valid for purchase films and our Premium films.
Pathé Thuis Gift Card (Physical)
With Pathé Thuis Gift Card you can watch the latest rental films at home. The physical gift card does not represent credit, but a 'credit'. You can immediately watch 1 or 2 rental films with it, in HD quality, for a maximum of €5.99 per film. This means that after watching cheaper films, the remaining value expires. The card states how many films you can watch in HD quality. The card is not valid for purchase films and our Premium films.
How does Pathé Thuis Kado work?
To use the card (Physical and Digital) to rent a film, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Pathé Thuis gift page and click on 'Redeem code'
- Log in or create a free account
- Carefully scratch off the layer (if it is a physical card)
- Enter the PIN code immediately (the code often starts with 528...)
- It will now be indicated for which collection the code is valid. Click on 'View collection'
- Choose your film now or search for it via the search bar
- Found a film? Click on 'Watch from €0,-'
- Choose SD or HD (if you have that option)
- Click on 'Rent for €0,-'
You now have the option to watch the film immediately via 'Watch now'. Do you want to save the film? Then choose 'Watch later'. The film will be in your account for 30 days. After starting, you have 48 hours to watch the film.

If you entered a voucher a while ago and now want to watch a film, you must re-enter the code on our gift page. A voucher is not saved in your account. Therefore, check carefully that the discount amount is visible before you buy a film.

How long is Pathé Thuis Kado valid?
The Pathé Thuis Kado card issued from 1 January 2022 is valid for two years after the date of issue and can be redeemed at any time within this period.
Cards issued before January 1, 2022 are valid for one year.
My Pathé Thuis Gift card is not working. What now?
The code may not have been activated. When purchasing, the code must be scanned by the selling party, which will activate the code. Contact the seller to check this.
If you entered a voucher a while ago and now want to watch a film, you must re-enter the code on our gift page. A voucher is not saved in your account. Therefore, check carefully that the discount amount is visible before you buy a film.
Finally, you may have a KPN or Ziggo voucher, which cannot be used in the Pathé Thuis app. A Pathé Thuis code has 9 characters, a KPN or Ziggo code only 8.
Do you have a discount voucher but has the full amount been debited? We are happy to help you via our customer service. To be able to serve you faster, it is useful if you immediately send a photo of your card.
What is a Pathé Giftcard?
You can buy the Pathé Giftcard at Pathé Cinemas or online. You can use this giftcard for cinema tickets, food and drinks in a Pathé Cinema and Pathé Thuis.
You can order the Pathé Giftcard here and you determine the amount yourself. With the Pathé Giftcard you put an amount on your Pathé Thuis account and for that amount you can rent and buy films.
How does a Pathé Giftcard work at Pathé Thuis?
- Go to the Pathé Thuis gift page and click on 'Redeem code'
- Log in or create a free account
- Enter the long series of numbers. This often starts with 6064... and click on 'Redeem code'
- Now enter the PIN code (this is under the scratch layer) and click on 'Redeem code'
- Now choose the amount you want to put on Pathé Thuis. This is possible from €5.00, click on the arrow
- next to the €5.00 to choose a different amount.
- Confirm the transaction
After completing the steps, your credit is immediately updated with the amount you have chosen and you can immediately rent and buy your favorite films.
Please note: you need an account for Pathé Thuis. You can create this for free. This is not the same account as 'Club Pathé'.

How can I use a discount code?
With a discount code you can rent a film at a reduced rate. When providing the code, it is indicated for which film(s) the code is valid, what the discount is and until when the code can be used. It also states whether the code is valid for rental or purchase films and until when.
After redeeming the discount code, you can pay the remaining amount via credit, via Paypal or via a direct payment with iDEAL or credit card.
- Go to the Pathé Thuis gift page and click on 'Redeem code'
- Log in or create a free account
- Enter the code and click on 'Redeem code'
- It will now be indicated for which collection or film the code is valid. Click on 'View collection' or 'View film'
- Then click on 'Watch from [amount]'
- Choose SD or HD (if you have that option)
- Click on 'Rent SD/HD for [amount]'
- You can now pay the remaining amount directly with credit, iDEAL or PayPal
After paying, you have the option to watch the film directly via 'Watch now'. Do you want to save the film? Then choose 'Watch later'. The film will be in your account for 30 days. After starting, you have 48 hours to watch the film.

Pathé Thuis Viewing Code
Have you received a digital viewing code from Pathé Thuis? Then you can select a rental film of your choice or choose a film from the special selection of films for which the viewing code gives access. The code is not valid for purchase films. In most cases, the code is valid for HD films, unless otherwise stated.

- Enter the code and click on 'Redeem code'
- It will now be indicated for which collection the code is valid. Click on 'View collection'
- Now choose your film or search for it via the search bar
- Found a film? Click on 'Watch from €0,-'
- Choose SD or HD
- Click on 'Rent for €0,-'
